Why do we categorize trying things and not succeeding right away as failure?
It’s weird thinking.
We are simply not good.
That’s what practice is all about.
We try to walk.
We fall.
We try to walk.
We fall.
Repeated hundreds of times, we finally get our footing and walk.
Where is the failure?
There is success at every step.
We showed up and made the attempt.
We were willing to practice despite the struggle.
We persevered when it might have been easier to quit.
Where’s the failure in that?
We have to change our mindset on what it means when we fail.
Because to me, trying to improve is as far from failure as we can get.
