Stacking Days

1 year ago I made a massive commitment unlike anything I’ve ever tried.

Doing something every single day for an entire year.

The 2024 goal: 50 pushups and 50 squats every day.

Proud to say I never missed a day!

With that I’ve done:
366 days x 50 = 18,300 pushups
366 days x 50 = 18,300 squats

36,600 in total

Want to know one powerful way you can accomplish any goal this year?

Add constraints not complexity

My constraint was achievable and simple: 50 of each movement in a 24-hour period.

I didn’t make it complex.

I didn’t say at what point in the day I had to do them. I didn’t say if they had to be done at one time or could be split up. I didn’t say what type of pushups or squats they had to be.

I didn’t add complexity to it. The only constraint was the number for each day.

Doing 50 a day isn’t hard.

What’s hard is committing to show up on the days you don’t feel like it.

Figuring out a way to “check the box” does wonders for your psyche and momentum.

Setting goals for 2025?

Make it achievable and build simple constraints that don’t make it so complex that you’re destined to fail.

That will provide a system to springboard you toward achievement.

Good luck to you in crushing your 2025 goals! I’ll be rooting for you!
