We often admire the glamour of others’ work. But, we miss the deep value and impact it brings them.
Take podcasting, for example.
I’m not a “top podcaster.”
I don’t have a deal with Spotify.
I won’t be interviewing presidents or celebrities anytime soon.
Yet, I have interviewed over 350 amazing people.
I’ve gained 400 hours of insights and stories.
I’ve also built great relationships along the way.
Don’t start something for fame, fortune, or recognition.
Start because you are curious about the subject.
Start because you want to create something meaningful.
Start because you love how it makes you feel.
Consistency over the long haul rarely happens for vanity’s sake. People stick with things because they find joy, learning, and purpose in the process.
When you learn those things, it becomes a choice to show up regularly, not a challenge.
