Dr. Aaron Hartman is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Practitioner and clinical researcher who advocates for and practices functional medicine, an integrative approach to conventional and alternative medicine. Aaron guides individuals to restore their health and hope, using science-backed solutions, so they can live the vibrant life they were made for. Aaron’s own journey with Functional Medicine started with his first daughter, who he and his wife took in as a foster child, then adopted.

Due to her cerebral palsy and countless dietary issues, the Hartmans went to specialist after specialist, but even as a physician, Dr. Hartman felt let down and confused. His daughter’s health struggles forced him to confront an uncomfortable realization: Our current healthcare system doesn’t have all the answers. Aaron’s wife, a brilliant–and very stubborn–occupational therapist refused to give up hope. She ultimately pointed him towards functional medicine, and their daughter thrived.

The human body is infinitely complex, and functional medicine caters to this complexity. Dr. Hartman listens to his patients’ whole health stories then helps them apply data-driven solutions to start healing. In short, he looks at clients’ home, environment, diet, daily habits, and health history, and then teaches solutions instead of just treating symptoms.
