Episode 97 features Rebecca Habbershaw, Founder & CEO of Learning Lab 360, a company bringing the best educational VR experiences to students. Rebecca is local to me in the Raleigh, North Carolina area and I love her passion for helping kids improve their learning through using technology to create unique learning experiences.
Rebecca started out as a middle school teacher, teaching mostly language arts to 6th and 7th graders. In the fall of 2017, she left the formal classroom setting to be the CEO of Learning Lab 360 full-time. Since then, the company has grown exponentially, visiting schools in several counties across the state of North Carolina and inspiring thousands of students and adults. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband, CIO and VR developer for Learning Lab 360, and daughter at home. She also tutors students part-time and enjoys working on miniature dollhouses.
The Learning Lab visits schools, public or private (events or during classes) in order to bring the best educational VR experiences to students.
On this episode of the Podcast I visited onsite with two of the Co-Founders of Trophy Brewing Company. Woody Lockwood and Chris Powers, along with their CBO (Chief Brewing Officer) Les Stewart, where we talk all things breweries and business. Was a pleasure to get to sit down with them and find out about their journey to becoming one of the best breweries in the Triangle of North Carolina!
One of the people on the “short list” I wanted to speak with was the Co-Founder and CEO of Pendo, Todd Olson, and was thrilled when he accepted my invitation. Todd lives right in my backyard in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and I have been an admirer of Pendo for many years. Todd and I have some mutual connections but we’ve never had the opportunity officially meet before. I was interested to understand how he came to be a Co-Founder of Pendo, how they’ve scaled, and what lessons he learned early in life that has propelled him to this success. We cover those topics and more on this episode of the Podcast!
About Todd Olson:
Todd Olson is co-founder and CEO of Pendo, a product experience platform that helps product managers deliver successful products. Before Pendo, Olson served as VP of products at Rally Software Development which he led through its public offering.
Had a great time on episode 39 speaking with the Founder of RepVue, Ryan Walsh, about his journey from his college days at UNC and early career to how he helped grow ChannelAdvisor to become a couple hundred million dollar company and publicly traded. His insights into sales and business are spot on and it was refreshing to hear his views on these topics and more.
About Ryan Walsh:
RepVue’s founder and CEO, Ryan Walsh, has spent nearly two decades selling, leading sales teams, and mentoring sales professionals. Prior to founding RepVue, Ryan ran a successful consulting practice helping companies optimize the mechanics of repeatable revenue businesses, with a keen focus on architecting scalable sales engines for early to mid-stage cloud-based software companies.
Previously, Ryan spent over 17 years as an operator and executive, most recently as chief revenue officer for SaaS e-commerce software company ChannelAdvisor. Ryan was the primary architect of the revenue engine and chief sales leader from 2010 to 2017, during which time the company’s annual revenues grew from $40M to $112M. This growth directly resulted in a successful IPO in 2013
