“Brian’s curiosity and ability to think outside of the box is contagious. After speaking with him over several sessions I found myself thinking bigger and in a way that was more authentically aligned with the vision I had for my life. Just getting started can be the hardest step of a journey but with Brian, it feels empowering.”

A Message To The Reader

In reflecting on all of my experiences in life, both good and bad, there has been no greater impact than a positive mindset on my energy, relationships, attitude, and beyond. My experience as a parent reveals that in your schoolwork, playtime, nap time (adults need those, too!), and interactions with friends and family, the happier you are, the happier it makes others around you feel. You, yes you, my young reader, can make the world a better place simply by bringing a positive attitude and big smile wherever you go.

This book, The Magically Magnificent Mysterious Mind, is another reminder about the importance of believing in yourself and just getting started. For the kids reading this book (and parents, too!), remember that you can create whatever you put your mind to, and all it takes is putting one foot in front of the other and starting. The magic happens from there!

I wrote the majority of this book in April 2020, when the COVID-19 global pandemic brought the world to an abrupt halt. I share this because there is never a “right time” to just get started. With a positive attitude, perhaps today can be that day. If there’s something you’ve always wanted to try or a project you’ve wanted to tackle, go ahead and make today your “Day 1”.

Whether you begin today or another time when an idea strikes, it’s much easier to progress it forward when you have a positive mindset and believe in what you’re capable of. If I can write a children’s book that somehow made it into your hands to read, I can guarantee that you have the talent to accomplish whatever you set your mind to.

Lastly, I’ve found through my experiences that stillness and mindfulness are two valuable tools to help us improve our attitude and perspective on the world around us. To that point, I’ve added a short meditation at the tail end of this book. It is meant to be done with your eyes closed and someone reading those pages to you, however, I understand that isn’t always possible. Feel free to try this section on your own, without your eyes closed, and do your best to visualize and explore.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this book with you and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!

About The Author

Brian Ondrako believes that the only way to discover happiness is to first discover ourselves. He is a Navigator and his “North Star” is to navigate people to just get started on a clearer path toward happiness. He continues to try and point his compass in the direction where he can make a positive impact on the world. To accomplish that, he works every day to overcome fear, self-doubt, and self-limiting beliefs by just getting started. Putting one foot in front of the other has shaped his life for the better. This book, the second in his “Just Get Started” series, is all about getting started with a positive mindset and the choices we make and habits we create to help us along on our journey.

The inspiration for this second book: Brian has always been a believer that the world is inherently good and to keep it that way each of us has to do our part to bring gratitude, humility, honesty, kindness, compassion, and curiosity to every situation and interaction. Through navigating his journey toward self-discovery, Brian realized that establishing a positive mindset was the catalyst to enhance all of these qualities in every interaction he had.
