I spoke with a family member who said, “I’m not good at writing so I shouldn’t even bother.”

It was clear they had two choices.

Convince themselves they were never going to be good at writing and quit before they start.

OR

Accept that they are terrible at writing today but that writing everyday will make them incrementally better tomorrow.

We all can relate to this.

We have all struggled to start because we aren’t good at something (yet).

We have to remember it takes time.

I can’t tell you how long but I can tell you it’ll be worth it because you were willing to create a discipline and a practice to work toward something.

You are creating a newer, better version of yourself every single day.

Even if it’s hard to see it from right in front of you.
