This. Was. Epic!

I completed my first Spartan race last month and it was one of the coolest experiences ever.

Why should you do one?

1) It will push you, mentally and physically. 

That first moment you hit the mud. It’s like, “Well, I’m here, let’s deal with it!”

2) It gets you out of your comfort zone. 

It’s unlike any workout you can do so the unknown of the layout or obstacles push you to be open to change. You must learn to adapt on the fly.

3) It confirmed my thesis that life is better lived through experiences with others. 

Could I have done this alone, sure, but having some of my CrossFit RTP crew with me made it memorable and so much fun. Creating memories with others gives us some of the happiest moments of our lives.

Challenges help us rethink what we know and push us beyond what we believe we can accomplish.

You may not do a Spartan Race but what are you doing to challenge your mind and body? Work within your current capabilities to figure out what gets you uncomfortable.

Then, lean into it!
