Does anyone else struggle with always feeling like they have to be “on”?
I’m working hard on being aware of this.
So, today I took a positive step forward and I’ve come to the conclusion that Mondays have to be my “take it easy” day.
As a single Dad, Mondays are the transition days. So it’s either the first day without my son in a week or it’s the first day getting him back after a week off.
I’ve recognized it’s a tiring day, either way, and I’ve found myself having to push through.
Today I decided I was going to chill. I’m not going to force it. I’m going to take a break from the work.
Being kind to ourselves can show up in many ways. Recognizing where we thrive is valuable and so is understanding when the “pause” button is necessary.
We don’t have to be “on” all the time.
→ Sometimes we need to rest and recharge.
We’ll be better for it tomorrow, too!
