I’m surprised more restaurants don’t follow the First Watch model.
They’ve found ways to provide convenience while creating efficiencies for their staff.
How?
Online Wait List – You can add your name to a waitlist that will hold your place in line for 15 minutes until you arrive while also letting you know the estimated wait time.
Table Coffee Pots – If you order coffee, you get a coffee pot at the table. I love topping off my coffee when it’s halfway finished without waiting.
Pay Online At The Table – Instead of giving my credit card to staff, I can scan the QR code and use Apple Pay to checkout in under a minute.
Although subtle, these make the experience more memorable as they’ve doubled down on convenience while eliminating friction along the way.
What do your favorite restaurants do differently to cater to their audience?
