15 years ago, you could get 1 Bitcoin for $0.00099.
The lesson? πππ ππππππ¨π© π§ππ¨π ππ¨ ππ€ππ£π π£π€π©πππ£π.
We don’t know if Bitcoin will last another 15 years but because it’s not mainstream and feels “risky”, should we avoid it?
20 years ago, you could buy Apple stock for $1, Google (Alphabet) for under $5, and Amazon for under $3.
People considered those risky at the time, too. Heck, Apple was on its last leg before Steve Jobs came back in the late 1990s, and Microsoft flushed it with money.
Yes, we have the benefit of hindsight and βsurvivorshipβ bias. I realize that hundreds of stocks have underperformed since then, too.
Whatβs my point?
We have no clue what is going to happen.
I’ve had dozens of conversations about Bitcoin over the past seven years. People make excuses like, “It’s a fad,” or “It’ll go to zero,” or “It’s not real money,” and more.
But fear, lack of knowledge, or uncertainty shouldn’t be an excuse to sit on the sidelines.
Itβs a call for action.
Take a small bite of the apple. Get in the game. Try it.
Iβm not giving financial advice and saying to buy Bitcoin. Itβs a metaphor for action.
Donβt hang around waiting for the right time because it doesnβt feel perfect or comfortable.
Thatβs the exact moment when you need to get in.
β Because there is never a right time.
β Itβll never feel completely comfortable.
β Youβll never know 100% if it is going to work out.
All you can do is take action and see what happens.
Best case: it works out better than you imagined.
Worst case: You learned some new life lessons for the next time.
So, what are you waiting for?
